Our educational formats encourage learning and unlearning. They encourage breaking away from entrenched structures, responding more creatively to challenges and making space for new, forward-thinking ideas.
Through low-threshold materials and interactive formats, we make global interconnections tangible and accessible. Our offerings empower people to engage with development issues, enter into dialogue and explore avenues for action, regardless of their level of prior knowledge or formal educational qualifications.
Global unlearning is important in order to overcome entrenched ways of thinking and change perspectives. By acting locally, we can have a global impact — education is the key to empowering us to shape a fairer world.

Humanitarian aid in Ukraine
The ongoing Russian war in Ukraine has already forced millions of people to flee their homes, including many children and young people. According to the United Nations, around 18 million people in Ukraine are in need of humanitarian aid. Since February 2022, AWO International has been working with local partner organisations to provide emergency relief and reconstruction.
