SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Global goals for sustainable development: In 2015, the "Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development" was adopted by the 193 member states of the United Nations (UN), including Germany. With the help of the Agenda, the international community aims to tackle global challenges such as poverty, hunger and climate change. At the heart of the Agenda are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), which are to be achieved by 2030. The Agenda 2030 is universally valid, i.e. all countries of the world must implement the 17 SDG and its 169 sub-goals, including Germany and the other industrialized nations. Together with several partner organisations, we will draw attention to Agenda 2030 in the coming years.
