Guideline for Crosscutting Issues - Guide for Partner Organisations
How can we better involve women in humanitarian planning? How can we ensure barrier-free reconstruction after disasters and avoid plastic waste when distributing aid? Gender equality, inclusion and climate change and environmental protection - these three cross-cutting issues are to be considered in all AWO International humanitarian projects from this year onwards. We have created a new guideline for practical implementation, the Crosscutting Issues Guideline.
The guidelines can be found HERE.
Solidarity in Focus 2023
Our Southeast Asia Regional Office presents the 2nd issues of its biennial magazine, Solidarity in Focus II. With the overarching theme of "People, at the Heart of the Community", this issue highlights achievements and personal accounts from our humanitarian action program in the region, as well as insights from the 2nd phase of our ongoing development cooperation program in the region under the BMZ’s Social Structure Fund (2021-2023), which still focuses on promoting safe migration and fighting human trafficking. (Published in Manila, March 2024)
Solidarity in Focus 2021
We present the inaugural issue of Solidarity in Focus, a magazine from our Southeast Asia Regional Office. This publication explores diverse perspectives on how our partner organizations in the Philippines and Indonesia combatted human trafficking and promoted safe migration (in the 1st phase of our ongoing development cooperation program in the region under the BMZ Social Structure Fund, 2018-2020), and continued to advance the agenda of disaster risk reduction. The 1st issue placed special emphasis on how each project coped with the COVID-19 Pandemic. (Published in Manila, March 2022)
