Global Perspectives on Migration - Study Visit from the Philippines
In the context of the study visit with 11 people from four of our Philippine partner organisations, we invite you to two events. The aim of the study visit is to enable an international exchange of experiences between the target groups and to link the fields of social work and educational work. All events are offered in English.

27.-29. September 2023 Future workshop: Global Perspectives on Migration (recognised in Berlin for the application of educational leave!)

- Target group: Educational advisors, pedagogical staff, social workers and migration counsellors
- Content:
- Exchange of experience and networking of pedagogical staff and social workers
- Getting to know regional pedagogical and structural concepts on empowerment and participation
- Strengthening core competences for ESD, Global Learning and the 2030 Agenda
- Mainstreaming of acquired methodological-didactic competences as well as approaches and concepts in the partner organisations involved.
- Expert impulses on the topic of migration and flight with practical references to Germany and the Philippines
The participating Philippine partner organisations:
CMA (Quezon City, Philippines) The Center for Migrant Advocacy (CMA) was founded in 2002 by Filipino migrants and legal experts on migration and human trafficking. CMA works to improve economic, social and political conditions for Filipino migrants. Its work ranges from policy advocacy and networking, to research and information sharing, to capacity building and direct assistance. Further information | OND Hesed (General Santos City, Philippines) The OND HESED Foundation was founded in 1999 by members of the Catholic order Oblates of Notre Dame (OND) to implement development projects as an independent institution for marginalised population groups of any religious affiliation. Our project with OND Hesef works to reduce the risk of human trafficking and forced labour by strengthening social structures in fishing communities. Further information |
MMCEAI (Davao City, Philippines) Founded in 2007, the Mindanao Migrants Center for Empowering Actions Inc (MMCEAI) is a service organisation for migrants from Mindanao - active and returning Filipino workers and their immediate families and acquaintances. Our project with MMCEAI works towards mobilising migrant workers and their families in social structures to enforce safe and regular migration. Ople Policy Center and Training Institute (Ople Center) is a non-profit organisation that mobilises partnerships to build the capacity of public and private sector actors to support innovations in policy and practice that benefit Filipino migrants and their families.
