Transparency

Transparency in handling donations and public funds is very important to us: Every year, AWO International voluntarily undergoes an external audit. Auditors, elected by the general meeting,  audit the work of the association annually in accordance with the statutes. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as well as the auditors of Aktion Deutschland Hilft also check completed project records at the Aktionsbüro. AWO International has joined the Transparent Civil Society Initiative and is a member of the German Donation Council.
